Sweden took the 11th spot on 2019 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship after the win over the Scandinavian opponent, Norway, with 24-30.
It is always difficult to play the next day after the lose in the eight finals, but the both teams played very good, especially in attack in first half. Sweden had four goals lead, 4-8, Norwegians few times decrease the difference, but the result before the break was 13-16.
The lead of Sweden in the second half increase, 16-22, and the Norwegian head coach Jensen took time-out. Nothing especially changed in the game, so Sweden kept the control of the result until the end of the game and win with six goals, 24-30.
The best scorer in Sweden was Norberg with six goals and the best scorer in Norway was Wallin, also with six goals.
Dennis Sandberg (Sweden): I think that is very good to finish the World Championship, but it was very difficult to play this game after the yesterday match. It is important to win these kind of games and we showed character.
Johnny Jensen (Norway): I don’t think that is success, but we lost in the matches against better teams, Croatia, France and Sweden. We don’t have so much players, but we have good start seven players. We were little bit tired in the second half and for that we made too many mistakes.
