FRANCE – NORWAY 33-28 (16-14)
Dominant France overpowered Norway with 35-30 and took place in quarterfinals of 2019 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship. France national team was in lead during all match and deserved the victory and set up a quarter-final against either Macedonia or Portugal.
At half time, France led by two goals (16-14) and upgrade the win. The second half saw Norway only come as close as three goals, but they never gave up, playing a highly-pressured defense. But it was not enough to make back the deficit and as the game entered the last quarter, France were five ahead.
Ntanzi Sadou was the best scorer in France team with seven goals.
Head Coach Norway – Johnny Jensen
We did our best but we had many mistakes in the defense. If you want to win against France you can not play that kind of defense. When you play versus France you must be at your best level otherwise you have not chance.
Head Coach France – Eric Quintin
Our players are very young. We are still building this team. I was expecting improvement and that is what my players show. I know that my boys will show improvement again tomorrow in the quarterfinals when we play against Portugal or Macedonia.
